Florence:Brunelleschi’s Dome Complex Skip the Line Tickets with Host

Well one of my top travel experiences thanks to our guide Giacomo. He is an architect with enthusiasm for the history and design of Brunelleschi’s dome which absolutely came across. Amazing passage up all those steps to the dome. I’m a (fit) 49 y o cancer survivor and did it no problem. Beautiful sun and view at the top. And incredible vantage point of The Last Judgment the largest oil painting in the world. Highly recommend if you are able. Talked about it for days.
My 14 y o artist son was profoundly impacted by the painting and architecture.

This is a really good way to book tickets in Florence. Its clear, easy and flexible. Its really helpful to have the calendar and the option to cancel, instructions for what to do when you get to the different places, along with maps and directions is really helpful. There is a lot to see in Florence,
make it very easy to manage.

Exhausting climb but great experience! Much harder than climbing St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. You can’t go in until your assigned time. The person handing you your tickets wears a bright yellow vest and is seated at the back of the church, where you enter to climb the dome. Was a little hard to find her at first but once we found her it was easy to get out tickets from her. Tickets are valid for multiple days and cover multiple attractions.
If you decide to do everything in the tickets,
it should take you at least half the day.

It was a ticket that could enter most facilities including the Duomo. It was valid for 3 days, so if you have time, I think you can enjoy it enough! I don’t recommend climbing the Duomo and Giotto at once…lol The stairs are narrow and steep, so it’s quite difficult.

laura was amazing! She gave us so much wonderful information on the history of the Duomo and it was wonderful to have a guide that is a local because she was telling us her perspective on everything. She was also very understanding for the older guests who had a more difficult time with the climb. My wife and I had a blast!

Ho fatto il tour del Duomo ed è stato veramente interessante! Federica, la nostra guida, è stata eccezionale perché oltre ad essere veramente preparata sui fatti storico-artistici conosce anche un sacco di curiosità che hanno reso, insieme alla sua gentilezza e al suo modo chiaro di esporre, la visita ancora più interessante e piacevole. Il tour, oltre all’ingresso in cattedrale, prevede anche una visita esclusiva delle terrazze (che normalmente sono chiuse al pubblico) dalle quali si può godere di una prospettiva unica. Il tour prosegue poi sulla lanterna posta in cima alla cupola dalla quale si apre una vista mozzafiato a 360 gradi su tutta la città e che ripaga degli sforzi fatti per raggiungerla. Consiglierei questo tour a tutti.
