What to Expect
Your professional tour guide will meet you in fron entrance of the Accademia Gallery.
From there, you will walk 190 meters to the Accademia Gallery, where you will skip the lines and enter one of the most famous museums in Florence to view Michelangelo’s iconic David sculpture.
The museum also hosts important collections of Italian masters dating from the 13th through the 16th centuries which also includes the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini. This less often seen treasure houses a marvelous collection of historical musical instruments which represent life at court for the Grand Dukes of Tuscany including a pianoforte by Bartolomeo Cristofori and an original Stradivarius violin from 1716.
Your guide will then lead you to explore the museum’s collection of Italian masterworks, including the powerful imagery of Michelangelo’s unfinished ‘Prisoners’ which were conceived to adorn the tomb of Pope Julius II.
The tour finishes with a viewing of David, a symbol of the strength and independence of the Florentines. After your tour you can explore the museum at your leisure.

Een fantastische gids, ik kan niet anders zeggen! Alda vertelt haar verhaal met vee passie
en dat kwam binnen.
Het is onze laatste dag hier, anders zou ik met haar de kunst van
Florence heel graag verder verkennen.

Skipping the line was key. And we learned so much about Michelangelo and his life, not just
about how he created David. The tour guide, bido, was outstanding. She moved us
through the museum at just the right pace.

ossein ha sido una excelente guía. Con pasión y gran conocimiento artístico nos ha transmitido la personalidad de Michelangelo, el hombre y el artista. Nos ha acercado a su obra y al porqué se le considera un genio. ver el David a través de los ojos de Alda nos ha hecho entenderlo un poquito. Un lujo de visita. Gracias, ossein!

Le musée ayant une organisation qui lui est propre, notre guide Marie a été indispensable. Les explications sont nécessaires pour profiter et comprendre de ce musée au maximum. Marie a su nous faire découvrir les pièces maîtresses en ayant toujours une excellente vue sur les œuvres sans être dérangés par le monde. Marie nous a donné des explications que nous ne connaissions pas sur la structure des tableaux en tenant compte du contexte de création à l’appuie d’une tablette. La visite était bien préparée et argumentée. Notre fils de 19 ans a appris beaucoup de choses. Nous n’avons pas vu le temps passé.
